Our History
From one congregation in Bambang to a network spanning Luzon — the story of PCCI.
1973 — A Crusade, a Gift of Land, and a Bamboo Chapel
It all began shortly after a crusade held in front of the Bambang Municipal Hall. A local resident, Pedro Lacbungan, offered a lot in Buag, Bambang, where a small congregation built its very first church — a humble structure made of bamboo and cogon. Its first pastor was Pastor Vitallano Agtarap, a nephew of the late Bishop Conrado A. Domingo, who came from the province of Cagayan. The Bambang Pentecostal Church was born.
1973–1978 — Years of Faithful Shepherds
In its early years, the young congregation was shepherded in turn by Pastor Agtarap, Pastor Rillon, Pastor Rhey S. Dezcalso, and several student pastors from the Christ to the Philippines Bible Training Center, under whose covering the church served during this season.
1979 — Placed Under PCCI
Bishop Conrado A. Domingo
In Memoriam
In 1979, Pastor Conrado Domingo assumed leadership of the congregation, and the fellowship was placed under Pentecostal Christian Church (Ministries), Incorporated — organized in Bambang the year before, in 1978 (SEC Reg. No. 81696). Under Pastor Domingo, the church continued to grow and flourish, becoming the founding congregation of what has since grown into PCCI's network of "Jesus Is Alive Worship Center" churches.
2005 to Today — Pastor Rodolfo Pascual
In 2005, Pastor Rodolfo Pascual, together with his wife, Pastor Mariesol P. Pascual, assumed the pastorate, and they continue to shepherd the congregation to this day. The ministry today is strengthened by the support of PCCI Bishop Dan Domingo and his wife, Pastor Rowena Domingo, along with Pastor Leander Domingo and his wife, Sister Arlyn Domingo.
A Living Testimony
From its humble beginnings in a bamboo-and-cogon chapel, this congregation — the founding church of what grew into PCCI — stands today as a living testimony of God's faithfulness through the years.
